Who knows what you might find here... but likely it will be about our kids and the wonderful family that God has built for us. As always, we can't wait!! -- "Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world." James 1:27 NIV

Miracle Of Adoption

"In Adoption the fearful become beloved,
the scorned become adored,
the nameless become cherished,
the lonely become the laughing, and death becomes life abundant."

…on both sides of the fence!!!

Dunno who wrote this - and I added the last line - but I sure do love it, and thought you might too.

And a line from my fav. - SCC: "...when love takes you home... and says, 'You belong here'..."

In fact, I just can't not post the lyrics to SCC's 2001 song (while we were waiting for Theresa Lin) "When Love Takes You In" - get your tissues...

I know you've heard the stories
But they all sound too good to be true
You've heard about a place called home
But there doesn't seem to be one for you
So one more night you cry yourself to sleep
And drift off to a distant dream

Where love takes you in and everything changes
A miracle starts with the beat of a heart
When love takes you home and says you belong here
The loneliness ends and a new life begins
When love takes you in

And somewhere while you're sleeping
Someone else is dreaming too
Counting down the days until
They hold you close and say I love you
And like the rain that falls into the sea
In a moment what has been is lost in what will be

When love takes you in everything changes
A miracle starts with the beat of a heart
And this love will never let you go
There is nothing that could ever cause this love to lose its hold

When love takes you in everything changes
A miracle starts with the beat of a heart
When love takes you home and says you belong here
The loneliness ends and a new life begins
When love takes you in it takes you in for good
When love takes you in

THE BIG 4-OH!!!

No, not my age, silly... I'm only 27 (haha), but rather 40 pounds!!

That's right, the scale this morning revealed a 40 pound loss and I'm doing the Snoopy Dance!!! Thank You Jesus!!! You are AWESOME!!!

Been Facebooking with Johnny and Tamra (along with hunting up some family "friends" and even a few oldtime school friends) and that's been fun... but can certainly be distracting too.

And been plugging away at our adoption paperwork. We only owe 4-5 documents to our agency now before we can schedule the homestudy visits (should have all by week's end). And thank You God, they've recently hired 4 "Home Study Coordinators" for Maryland!!! (thanks for praying for that a while back)
I asked if "Home Study Coordinator" translates into someone who does homestudies and thankfully I received a positive answer. They're in training this week and should be ready to roll next week. Ok, continued prayer for that would be just fine with us too.

Maryland had a big snowstorm on Sun/Mon and the kids have had a blast, esp. since school was cancelled (hopefully for one last time before spring hits). Theresa Lin's excited about her birthday coming up later this month and Faith's going on a youth retreat called Planet Wisdom this weekend. Johnny is coming home for spring break in 16 days, and we just can't wait. Abby, for the first time ever, was excited about not having to go to school (she loves school - must have been the older girls' influence). Alex recently discovered TL&A's Little People farm toys and is thoroughly enjoying it all. It was ALL over the living room, of course, but at least God gave us ONE cleaner-upper - he's very good about cleaning up, once he "hears" you, that is.

That's all for now - Let's Roll!!

PS - Happy Birthday Mom - I sure do miss you!!
