Blessings
God's got big plans for these boyz!!
The yardsale went well - the weather was wonderful, the girls were pretty helpful (esp. Faith afterwards), some awesome friends from church took the boyz for a few hours in the heat of it (tho Alex was a pretty good lemonade salesman), we had a pretty good stream of customers (and only 1 who wanted to bargain over everything), and some awesome church friends also just handed us straight-up cash.... all to the tune of just about enough for the last round of paperwork authentications!! That's not counting the 2 other awesome friends who contributed to our Eternal Families fund online (see prev post)... that'll go towards translating our dossier into Chinese.
AND... I got a nice atta-girl check from work for something I apparently did well. :o) God is good... allllllllllllll the time!!
Now, if we could just get that 171!... please?!??
Let's Roll!!

Have you gotten your immigration approval yet? We finally got ours on 7/5; Got everything authenticated on 7/11; submitted our dossier (phew!) on 7/12; still waiting to be logged in. sounds like our timing is about the same. Hope we can travel together again. Our whole family will be going to China again this time. How about you? That will be so much fun. ~Betty
Hi Betty!! CONGRATULATIONS on getting your dossier submitted!!!
We don't have our 171 yet, but we expect it any day. Our friends, the Wiley's, were just about 3 weeks ahead of us on everything (receipt date, fingerprint date, etc) got their 171 on 7/5 too. We would love it if we could catch up to you both and we'd all travel together!!
Our whole dossier (except the 171) has been authenticated and is already at AWAA, just waiting for the 171.. and we'll do that one with the 1-day fee at the Embassy, so as soon as it comes, it'll be done and at AWAA the next day.
We're not sure who's traveling this time - it's never been a question before, but we have more kids each time. :o) It's a long, hard (and expensive) trip... but at the same time, 2 weeks away from your parents is difficult too. We know that Bill and I, and probably Faith and Sam will go, and hopefully Theresa, Abby and Alex too, but there are a lot of factors built into it all and we've not decided yet.
Did I read on the group that you're adopting two also!! How exciting - you're right - this all was so God-led, God-directed!! We're still holding out for Oct travel (maybe I'm dreaming), but as July slips away without our 171, then maybe reality is December.
